This year Unum plan to take on Lugnaquilla, the highest mountain in Leinster, for their 2011 Charity Challenge and raise much needed funds for the Jack and Jill Foundation and Beam Services. Lugnaquilla mountain is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and stands at 925 metres high, making it one of the highest mountains on the island of Ireland. This challenge will take participants on a trek of 18kms starting from the beautiful Glenmalure valley and culminating in the ascent of the Lugnaquilla mountain. The challenge is being held on Saturday the 18th of June. We wish the team every success with this year’s challenge and are delighted to be nominated one of their chosen charities.
