Irish Pharmacy News, in association with the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, is looking for the People’s Pharmacist of the Year
Irish Pharmacy News (IPN), in association with the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, wants to recognise and reward the hard work Irish pharmacists are doing around the country and the search is on to find the People’s Pharmacist of the Year.
What the judges are looking for is a pharmacist that has an outstanding relationship with the community, gives un-paralleled advice and goes beyond the call of duty for their patients and customers. People can nominate their local pharmacist through the Facebook pages of Irish Pharmacy News or the Jack & Jill Foundation or by emailing Kelly Eastwood, the awards co-ordinator directly at: [email protected]
Pharmacists are increasingly the first point of call for the public on health issues and are often consulted before GP’s or hospitals. Many pharmacists now offer more services such as delivery services, blood pressure and cholesterol testing and trusted medical advice free of charge. The Irish Pharmacy Awards provide a unique platform from which to reward and distinguish the important role pharmacists play in the medical community.
The Irish Pharmacy Awards, now in its second year, will be held in The Burlington Hotel on Saturday May 25th 2013, with over 500 pharmaceutical professionals in attendance. The awards celebrate excellence in the Irish Pharmacy industry and will be presented by TV3’s Sybil Mulcahy. Irish Pharmacy News is proud to be working with its nominated charity, the Jack and Jill Foundation Ireland to help raise much needed funds for this extremely worthy cause.
