Friday, 10th May 2013 was a very special day when the 6th Annual Baby Sam’s Lunch took place at the Four Seasons Hotel. Organised by Sam’s parents, Jo and John Nolan and his sister Amy yet another fantastic afternoon was enjoyed by over 180 guests who joined Sam’s parents Jo and John and his sister Amy, to remember Sam who would have turned 6 years old on the 1st May and to also raise funds for Jack & Jill. Baby Sam was guest of honour at the first lunch but sadly passed away from an extremely rare brain condition some five weeks later, aged just 13 months.
Our thanks to all the sponsors and supporters for their generosity and continued support of this important event in the Jack & Jill calendar. We cannot thank Jo, John and Amy enough for their commitment and tireless work each year to raise funding to bring home other children just like Sam…..
The afternoon kicked off with drinks in the ice bar followed by a truly mouth watering lunch, a fantastic raffle with a prize per table whereby fabulous prizes of luxurious hampers and hotel stays were up for grabs. And if that’s not enough an auction for a stunning Chanel necklace and bracelet, a wonderful painting by artist and celebrity DJ Mo Kelly, orthodontic treatment to the value of €5K from Dr. Mike Gibson, an Eggsquisite piece of art by “Lainey Leogh”, GAA Leinster Football Final Tickets, 2 bottles of a limited edition of very fine Hot Irishman Whiskey and 4 tickets to any O2 concert including dinner added to the excitement and buzz of the afternoon.
It was indeed a late night for some when everyone retired again to the ice bar to chat and banter until the wee hours…..
