Singing to Help Our Little Friends
The children of Scoil an Athar Tadhg, Carraig na bhFear recently recorded a CD with all proceeds from the sale going to Jack and Jill Foundation. Carraig na bhFear have undertaken a CD Project in recent years where they set a target of €5,000 for their chosen charity. We are delighted that Jack and Jill are the beneficiary this year.
Over the past five years they have supported many worthy causes and last year raised a total €6,584. Mr. Jimmy Crowley is the guest artist this year. If you see the guys in Blackpool, Glanmire, Ballyvolane or in the Fermoy area please support this fundraising initiative.
The CD is NOW ON SALE at a cost of €10 in Blackpool Shopping Centre, Cork.
Every €16 raised will provide one hour’s home nursing care for a Jack & Jill child.

Jimmy Crowley
is an Irish Folk musician and song collector. Jimmy is known as The Bard of Cork and with good reason as his unique style of singing and his love of his native city is central to his musical vision.
His recordings popularised local songs such as “Johnny Jump Up”, “Salonika” and “The Boys of Fair Hill”.
Jimmy has played all over Ireland, Europe and the USA. Christy Moore said of Jimmy Crowley, “I have been on the road for many miles and my journey is always shortened when I meet Jimmy”.
Jimmy’s song about the sailing ship the Asgard 11, “My Love is a Tall Ship” is well known among the sailing fraternity. We are delighted that Jimmy who’s no stranger when it comes to charity work has accompanied the children on two songs on the Jack & Jill cd.
