The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation is urging another 1,200 ‘happy faces’, young and old, to sign up to have their professional portrait done by local IPPA (Irish Professional Photographers’ Association) photographers over Easter for €25 per sitting, with every cent going to the charity to fund home nursing care for sick children nationwide. Already 2,000 people have signed up to the IPPA Happy Faces campaign which runs from this Saturday 30th March until Saturday 6th April.
All the participating photographers, who are listed per county on www.happyfaces.ie, give their time free which means that 100% of the proceeds are going to the Jack & Jill Foundation.
Last year, the campaign raised €80,000 for the Jack & Jill Foundation and the organisers are hoping to equal this target again this year, by persuading at least 3,200 happy faces to participate. IPPA Happy Faces is the annual fundraising project, now in its eighth year, organised by the Irish Professional Photographers’ Association (IPPA).
