Kildare Rose Katie O’Neil, Wicklow Rose Gillian Burke and Kilkenny Rose Vera McGrath all got on their bikes to officially launch the Jack & Jill Foundation’s Kilkenny Cycle for wheelie great fun, for a really great cause taking place on Saturday 13th September
People can register now on www.jackandjill.ie/cycle and monies raised will fund home nursing hours for families locally and nationally caring for children with life limiting and life threatening conditions. The cost of registration is €100.
The 100k Kilkenny Cycle for Jack & Jill is now in its third year and starts in Blessington, Co. Wicklow and finishes in Kilkenny. This is a professionally organised cycle with 1 guide to 10 cyclists, with professional cycling jerseys provided along with back up vehicles and mechanical support. Cyclists will enjoy a fun day with refreshments and lunch en route finishing up with a delicious celebratory dinner in the 4 star Newpark Hotel.
We are hoping to exceed last year’s total of €50,000 raised which funded 3,125 home nursing hours, making a huge difference to the 300 families under Jack & Jill’s wing today. Jonathan Irwin CEO and Founder of the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation is asking people to get their bikes in gear as the Kilkenny Cycle is here!
