Ongoing partnership supporting Jack and Jill families in communities across Ireland, including 33 families in Kildare, has raised €121, 874 to date.
Glenveagh Properties Plc is delighted to share that over the course of the three years of its partnership with the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, one of the country’s largest homebuilders, which is headquartered in Maynooth, has raised €121,874 to date, with more exciting campaigns already in the pipelines for 2024.
From family-friendly community fundraising days across several of its new developments, to Apprentice-style staff takeovers of Jack and Jill Charity Boutiques, to its most recent magical innovation of The North Portal at Christmas; Glenveagh staff have truly got behind this meaningful partnership in support of 33 local Jack and jill families across Kildare, with the funds raised to date translates into 6,770 hours of vital in-home nursing care and respite support.
Annette McGarry, Head of Community Engagement at Glenveagh commented:
“Team Glenveagh have been so proud to partner with The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation over the past three years as part of our Building Lasting Communities initiative. In 2022, we won the County Kildare Chamber Award for Excellence in the Community for our community work. I’m so thrilled with the exciting fundraising initiatives that we’ve delivered so far, and with the level of engagement among our brilliant staff, who no doubt will continue to go above and beyond in support of local Jack and Jill families across Kildare in 2024″.
Stacey Bohanna, Head of Retail at Jack and Jill commented:
“It will take approximately €7.5M to fund and provide our vital in-home nursing care service and end-of-life support in 2024, with an estimated €1.7M of our funding coming from the HSE. That’s approximately 22%. We need ongoing supporters to fund our ongoing care commitment of up to six years per child and family. However, this is a real challenge against the backdrop of the current cost of living crisis and increased charity appeals putting huge pressure on our fundraising model. We massively appreciate the support from our friends at Glenveagh, who have proven to be fabulous partners over the past three years, and I am looking forward to continuing our work with Glenveagh supporting families in communities nationwide. We have some really exciting plans in store for 2024!”
