The students organisers of the Vodafone DIT Fashion Show have chosen the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation as their charity partner for the Vicar Street show on 3rd April and stylists and show directors visited the Jack & Jill Charity Boutique in Newbridge to meet the Jack & Jill nurses and charity shop manager Joan Kehoe and to check out the style for the catwalk
Profits from this year’s show are going to Jack & Jill and the theme for the show is “Enchanted Forest, Hidden Nature”. The DIT student organisers are expecting another sell out event with an audience of 1,000 people in Vicar Street on 3rd April. Tickets costing €20 (and €15 for students) are on sale from www.ditfashionshow.ie
Welcoming the announcement of Jack & Jill as the chosen charity, Sinead Moran, Nurse Manager said, “We are absolutely delighted and want to thank the students at DIT for choosing Jack & Jill. We rely now more than ever on creative fundraisers like this to raise both funds and awareness for Jack & Jill. It is such a boost to our nurses and to our 300 families across the country, to know that these students are behind us and supporting us with their time, energy and creativity. Every €16 raised through the Vodafone DIT Fashion Show will fund one hour of home nursing care. Thank you.”
The DIT Fashion Show was started in 2003 by 4 enthusiastic second year students as a way to get out of lectures! It has gone from strength to strength and is now one of the most exciting dates on the Irish Fashion Calendar!
