We are delighted to share that, the annual Jack and Jill Teddy Bear Picnic will once again take place this June!
Now in its 4th year, the initiative which started as a local fundraiser organised by mother and daughter duo, Jess McGrath, and Evelyn O’Reilly from Kidz@Play in Maynooth, Co Kildare, has quickly become a much-loved national campaign supported by creches, Montessori’s, playgroups and schools across the country. Even grownups are getting involved in putting the Fun into Fundraising by hosting Teddy Bears Picnics for Jack and Jill in offices across Ireland!
Commenting on the initiative Evelyn said: “Jack and Jill is a charity that is very close to our hearts. We are thrilled to see this simple and child-friendly fundraising idea take off in the way it has, to support these beautiful, unique children and their families under the care of Jack and Jill. We encourage all childcare facilities to get on board and host their own Teddy Bears Picnic for Jack and Jill this June.”
Hosting a Picnic can be as simple as a fun lunch outside with the children. Get them to bring along their favourite furry or fluffy friend for the day and parents/friends/families can sponsor each child to bring their Teddy Bear.
Extend the afternoon’s fun by including a walk with the children and their teddies, games, or a colouring competition for a picnic to remember!
We will have some exciting goodie bags for the first 20 registrations for the 2024 Teddy Bears Picnic for Jack and Jill, so be smarter than the average bear and get signed up soon!
