Crookstown Service Station, Ballitore, Co. Kildare was awash with the smell of leather and the sound of revving motorbikes as the Leinster Classic Motorcycle Club rode into town to present Jack and Jill with a truly wonderful donation of €10,774…….
The Leinster Classic Motorcycle Club has supported many charities over the years and Jack and Jill were delighted to be the chosen charity to receive the proceeds of their 9th Annual Charity Run. Organised by Leonard Fitzpatrick the run took place on 18th September 2011 from Shillelagh, Co. Wicklow and travelled approximately 100 miles through Wicklow, Carlow and Wexford.
Our thanks also to Seamus O’Reilly, proprietor of the Crookstown Service Station, Ballitore who kindly provided food, refreshments and entertainment for the presentation and made it a fantastic fun day for all the family who came to view the fantastic array of bikes on display and the local crafts of the area.
Jack and Jill patron, Eddie Hobbs, was presented with the cheque by Leonard who with the support of his generous friends raised such a fantastic amount in sponsorship which will provide 673 hours of home nursing care to Jack and Jill children in the Leinster area – a really wonderful achievement in such tough economic times……
We wish Leonard and the boys the best of luck in the future as they continue their travels around the country supporting Irish charities.
