CALLING ALL OUR IRISH RELATIONS AND COUNTRY COUSINS……..
We are delighted to have a listing for the very first year in the ballot section of the London Virgin Marathon. If you are lucky enough to have secured a place we would be absolutely delighted if you would fly the flag for Jack & Jill in 2013!
Your participation and sponsorship will greatly help us to continue to provide home nursing care to children up to the age of 4 who are born with or develop brain damage so that they can be cared for in their own home! We are a small children’s charity based in Johnstown, Co. Kildare, Ireland and need to raise €2.7M each year with only 18% coming from the Government. It is through public donations and fundraising events such as this that we can raise the much needed funding to provide our services throughout Ireland…..
So please spread the word to all your friends and family (with or without Irish connections) to contact Edelle at Jack & Jill on +353 45 894538 or [email protected] for your sponsorship card and t-shirt.
You can also set up a fundraising page on www.mycharity.ie.
Go raibh míle maith agat!
Hey, I’m from Dublin and would love to run for you guys in London. I ran an Ultra marathon in February and raised almost €3000 for the charity. I got turned down in the Ballot do I’m looking for a charity entry. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hey James, thanks for your message; we apologize for answering you after so many days, but I had to make sure I’m giving you the right information.
We would love to help you running the marathon for us but unfortunately we are only short-listed on the charity list for people to chose from; we don’t have any entries reserved on our name. I think the ballot system is very strict and as we’ve been selected for the first time for this event, there isn’t too much for us just the honour of being listed.
Sorry about that and thanks again for thinking of us! There are lots of other fundraising opportunities for Jack and Jill to chose from if you think to do something in the future.
The Jack and Jill team.
