Jack and Jill is delighted to announce that its Board of Trustees was awarded the prestigious accolade of Board of the Year at the recent Charities Institute Ireland Excellence Awards.
The award citation on the night commended the vital role played by the Board, with particular regards to governance and a commitment to long term goals by saying, “In 2024, the ‘Board of the Year’ was an excellent example of unwavering commitment to excellence in governance. Their outstanding governance standards fuelled remarkable achievements in 2023, with a strong focus on strategic planning, enhanced service delivery, financial management and fundraising. Notably, their strong support in guiding the senior leadership team, direct engagement in fundraising activities and focus on succession planning demonstrates the board’s commitment to reach for the highest standards in governance and impact.”
Earlier this year, Jack and Jill carried out independent research which uncovered that 80% of adults in Ireland trust Jack and Jill, up 14% from the previous year.
Jack and Jill recognises that trust is earned, and that this is something to be immensely proud of. The Foundation remains committed to work hard to keep earning and building trust as its delivers its vital service.
