Jonathan Irwin CEO and Founder of the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation picked up two Gold awards at the ADFX advertising sector awards in Dublin along with the DDFH&B and Mindshare team who were the power house behind this campaign raising over €500,000 for the Foundation
Jack & Jill won under the small budget and public service categories at these prestigious awards which are the Oscars for advertising. According to the judges the Jack & Jill campaign stood out amongst tough competition for its large scale impact, emotional creative charge, with a lot of credit due to Jack & Jill for the public service it delivers in Ireland.
Picking up the award, Jonathan Irwin CEO of Jack & Jill said, “We wouldn’t be here without the hard work and dedication of the team across DDFH&B and Mindshare and I must also mention the generosity of the Nestle Ireland staff who provided the seed funding for this campaign. From our very first meeting they listened and really understood the brief which was to show what Jack & Jill home nursing support means to parents like Brigid Flanagan and how we depend on the public to keep that service going. To be presented with two Gold awards at ADFX recognizes the huge effort, creativity and generosity from all concerned in making this campaign happen and I want to congratulate DDFH&B and Mindshare for making this happen. We were complete novices in terms of advertising and they took our hand and showed us the way.”
Today the Jack & Jill Foundation faces a €200,000 shortfall in its funding and the charity is asking the public to take part in the “Gala Up the Hill for Jack & Jill” throughout the month of September which seeks a €16 donation which funds one hour of home nursing care.
